Dr. Aghai
Mehrdad M. Aghai, M.D. is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Specializing in ocular trauma, Dr. Aghai has delivered several presentations and published numerous peer-reviewed articles. For his patients' benefit he has also kept abreast of developments in the field through continuing medical education (CME) courses in such wide-ranging subjects as corneal disease, retina, blepharoplasty and laser resurfacing.
After earning a B.S. in Biology from the University of California at Los Angeles, Dr. Aghai attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine for two years. He received his medical doctorate from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY in 1992.
Dr. Aghai then completed his internship at Los Angeles County-Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA, and a residency in Ophthalmology at Albany Medical College Hospital in New York.
In addition to his position as president and medical director of Century Eye Care, Dr. Aghai is Chief of Surgery at Memorial Hospital of Gardena (MHG) and a member of the Medical Executive Committee there.
